Request Books

ABLE Library patrons can request books that they want to read from any of our collections. Patrons can make requests by phone, mail, email, or on our online catalog.

Phone: Call (800) 479-1711 or (802) 636-0020. We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We are closed on holidays. Callers may leave voice messages.

When Ordering:

Help us serve you better. We need some information from you to fill your requests quickly and send your books to you. When you request books, please include:

  • Your first and last name with spelling
  • Your address
  • If you are ordering for someone else, provide that person’s name and address. Please include your name and phone number as well.

Home Delivery of Materials:

Books and materials are mailed directly to patrons' homes as “Free Matter for the Blind and Handicapped” through the U.S. Postal Service. Patrons can send books back to the library through the mail at no cost.
